Non-surgical Labioplasty – Seattle, WA and Vancouver, B.C. Area
The thought of surgery could be intimidating!
While Dr. Michael Lau is an internationally recognized cosmetic vaginal surgeon with over 25 years of experience after training in both urogynecology (pelvic plastic and reconstructive surgery) and cosmetic surgery, he fully recognizes the need to have non-surgical alternatives in improving the aesthetics and function of the vagina and other intimate areas.
Dr. Lau has been spending his surgical career developing minimally invasive surgery technology and using only local anesthetics for all his cosmetic surgery to help women alleviate their fear of surgery and general anesthetics. He also recognizes that if he could achieve an outcome approaching that of surgery, but non-surgically, it would be just ideal. Dr. Lau has been working on such an approach.
Being a scientist, Dr. Lau knows the limitations of technology. He is honest in informing women how much non-surgical means could achieve. For example:
Labia Majora
The labia majora, the other lips of the vagina, is comprised of skin, fat, and connective tissues, and are prone to wrinkles, laxity of skin, and change in contour from aging, childbirths, and hormonal factors. Labioplasty majora could certainly address such concerns, but some of the issues of the appearance of the labia majora could be addressed by non-surgical means as well.

Labia majora skin laxity and wrinkles
The strategic placement of dermal filler injection can correct lines, wrinkles, and volume defects without labioplasty majora surgery. The result could be amazing, even though the correction would only last for a year or less. Dr. Lau prefers dermal fillers to fat transfer (Dr. Lau has done fat transfer with PRP to the breast since the beginning over 20 years ago) since the fat graft could increase in size with weight gain to the point of being excessive.
